Privacy Policy
DeepFlag.ai is open-source and privacy-first. This page explains exactly what data we collect, why, and how it is used.
1. Overview
DeepFlag.ai is built with privacy as a core principle. When you submit text or images for analysis, your content is processed in real time and is never stored, logged, or used for training. No account is required to use the detector.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect or retain the text or images you submit for analysis. The only data we collect is standard web analytics (page views, referrer, browser type) via Google Analytics 4. This data is aggregated, anonymized, and used solely to understand usage patterns and improve the service.
3. Cookies
We use a single first-party analytics cookie set by Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting the core functionality of DeepFlag.ai.
4. API Usage
If you use the DeepFlag API with an API key, requests are processed in real time. We log API request metadata (timestamp, endpoint, response status, and your API key identifier) for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and billing purposes. Request payloads are not stored.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous usage analytics. No other third-party data processors have access to your data. Our API and web infrastructure run on servers that comply with standard data-processing agreements.
6. Data Retention
Because we do not store submitted content, there is nothing to delete. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months per their standard policy. API request metadata (not payloads) is retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Since we do not store submitted content and analytics data is anonymous, there is typically no personal data to action. For any privacy-related requests, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of DeepFlag.ai after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
